Tenure and Promotion Support Committee

Charge/Duties

The Tenure and Promotion Support Committee is a Standing Committee of the Smathers Libraries established to offer support to faculty through the tenure and promotion process by providing a series of workshops offered strategically throughout the year. The Committee meets twice a year during the first and third quarters to review and develop the Libraries’ T&P workshop schedule for the coming calendar year. Workshops are scheduled January through September. Each member of the committee is responsible for coordination, scheduling, and hosting/attending at least two of the annual T&P workshops on Zoom.

Membership

  • Appointed by Tenure Home Chairs or Associate Deans
  • Seven faculty members with at least one member from each tenure home
  • The Libraries Training Program Manager will serve as a full member of the committee on an ongoing basis
  • Two-year terms, with half the membership changing each year
