Tenure and Promotion Support Committee

Charge/Duties

The Tenure and Promotion Support Committee is a Standing Committee of the Smathers Libraries established to offer support to faculty through the tenure and promotion process by providing a series of workshops offered strategically throughout the year. The Committee meets twice a year during the first and third quarters to review and develop the Libraries’ T&P workshop schedule for the coming calendar year. Workshops are scheduled February through October. Each member of the committee is responsible for coordination, scheduling, and attending at least two of the annual T&P workshops.

Membership

  • Appointed by Tenure Home Chairs or Associate Deans
  • Seven faculty members with at least one member from each tenure home
  • The Libraries Training Program Manager will serve as a full member of the committee on an ongoing basis
  • Two-year terms, with half the membership changing each year
