Winter Celebration Schedule 2021

We invite you to participate in the following:

  • Photo matching contest – Entries due by end of day, Dec. 8; submit a current photo, and a photo of a younger you celebrating something (birthday, graduation, first lost tooth, etc). You can review the entries prior to the party here:

Photo Match Game

  • Breakout room options – Part of the celebration is an opportunity for attendees to separate into smaller groups for socialization. We will be hosting trivia (at least twice), and have a couple of rooms with preset themes, and several rooms for general chat. The ability to move yourself to a specific breakout room depends upon what version of the Zoom client you have installed. Make sure your Zoom program is up-to-date with the latest version to ensure you get the most out of the party.

  • Virtual White Elephant Gift Exchange – Sign up by end of day, Dec. 1; Unwrapped / simply wrapped physical gifts dropped off to pick-up locations by Dec. 8. We are hosting this virtually, and each participant will be randomly assigned a number. Game host will “unwrap” gifts when chosen, by displaying photos to participants. Pick up location information will be sent to participants via email. Game will begin at 2:50 pm.

Virtual White Elephant Gift Exchange Rules

  • Cookbook – Entries due by end of day, Dec 8; Submit more than one recipe if you’d like, and following the celebration in December, a PDF version of the cookbook will be made available to all who are interested.
  • Zoom background contest – Entries due by end of day, Dec. 8; create a zoom background with the Theme “Fireside Roasting and Toasting.” Entries will be considered for the following categories:
    • Most Library-ish
    • Best of Show
    • Most Creative
    • Coziest
    • Best Use of Color
